Q: How do I transfer recently added songs from my library onto my iPod or iPhone?
I recently added about 40 songs from my hard drive to my iTunes library.....but I have evidently forgotten how to get them from my library onto my iPod....I tried hitting the sync button, and it says it is syncing, but none of the new tunes are showing up in my list of songs on the device.
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Try syncing using the manual method

Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs? (iTunes purchases only)
You can only sync with one computer. To switch computers
Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive
If all the synced media like apps and music are already in the iTunes library of the new computer just backup to iTunes and restore from that backup.
