Q: Apple Watch shows "No Favorites".

I understand the My Watch/Friends settings. But when I select the Phone icon on my Apple watch, I see the same list as is shown on my iPhone: Favorites, Recents, Contacts, and Voicemail. All reflect the same information on my phone, but Favorites says "No Favorites". Why doesn't it also reflect the list on my phone?

Apple Watch, watchOS 2.2, null

    Hi

As you may be aware, Favourites are different to Friends, although it is possible to select the same contacts for each.

Adding contacts to Friends via the Watch app (My Watch > Friends) adds them to the Friends screen on Apple Watch (accessed by pressing the Side button once), but does not also add them to Favourites.

Instead, to add contacts to Favourites, on your iPhone, either:

    - Open a contact card and tap on Add to Favourites (at the bottom), or;

    - Open the Phone app > Favourites tab > tap on the "+" sign (upper-right) > choose a contact.

Any contacts added to Favourites on your iPhone should automatically also be shown in Favourites in the Phone app on your watch (but are not also automatically added to Friends).

If your Favourites are not the same on your watch as on your iPhone, the following steps may help:

    • Check that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both enabled on your iPhone:
      • iPhone: Settings > Bluetooth - on.
      • iPhone: Settings > Wi-Fi - on.
      • For the best performance from your watch, keep both permanently enabled on your iPhone.

    • Check that your watch and iPhone are connected via Bluetooth:
      • When viewing the time on your watch, swipe up on the watch face > swipe left / right to the Settings Glance > check that this states Connected and shows a green phone icon. Disable Airplane Mode if it is enabled.

    • On your iPhone, in the Contacts app: check that there is a single contact card for you and that it contains your Apple ID email address and iPhone number - and no-one else's contact details.

    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > in the Contacts section, check that My Info is using your contact card.

    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Siri > My Info - check that your contact card is selected.

    • On your iPhone, go to: Settings > iCloud - enable Contacts.

    • On your iPhone: in the Watch app, go to My Watch > General > Reset > tap once on Reset Sync Data.
      • Nothing will seem to happen, but the process will run in the background (invisibly to you), so allow a minute or so for the process to complete.

    • Restart both your iPhone and your watch (turn both off together, then restart your iPhone first):
      • To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off. To restart: press and hold the side button until you see the logo.

Nope. This resulted in wiping out my Contacts. "Settings > iCloud - enable Contacts"

I disabled this setting and it is taking a long time to restore Contacts to my Watch. My "Favorites" on the phone list is still blank.
