Q: My apple ID has been disabled

It has been more than a year now my apple ID was randomly disabled. I've tried more than once to change the password to see if that fixed the problem but the problem has not changed. I switched my account onto a family members account to be able to download new apps but the old ones that need updates cannot update because it is synced with my old account. I just now tried once again to change my password to see if there were any apparent changes to the outcome but it's still the same.
