Q: Stuck in recovery mode while updating ios 9.1 and cannot restore my iPhone

I tried updating my iPhone 5 from ios 9 to 9.1. When I tried to install, my phone said that the install is unavailable at the moment so i plugged my iPhone to pc and try to use iTunes to update it. However, this made the thing becoming worst because iTunes said it cannot update nor restore my iPhone. I have the latest iTunes version installed and the latest Windows installed too. The update and the restore progress only go half way and iTunes said error had occur and everytime I unplugged the Iphone from pc, it shows usb cable icon and the iTunes icon. How do I solve this?

iPhone 5, iOS 9

iPhone 4s won't turn on, won't update, won't restore, wont turn on!! Shows iTunes logo and switches off alternatively repeatedly.

I was recently told to update a iPhone 4s from abroad (UK to Nepal). While downloading from OTA I noticed there was ios 8 already downloaded. However it didn't let me update it showing unknown error occured.

I then backed up with my iTunes (First time from my laptop), downloaded update (ios 9.3) from itunes and tried to update it through itunes.

i hadn't given any authorization or logged in any account in itunes (if thats relevant ). Every thing seemed to go, extracting-preparing phone to update- waiting for iPhone -verifying update and BOOM, after second beep of connected hardware sound it shows unknown errors like 36, 27 etc.

I have tried every posssible ways in the INTERNET to either update or restore the phone.

    • tried hosts file
    • downloaded signed ipsw file and tried to install it
    • tried DFU mode to restore

    Its just dead.

Normally It shows recovery mode and swiches off periodically but while attempting update or restore,,during error 36, appple logo is being shown with a stuck progress bar.

    Any one please Help me!

Now i am being blamed of screwing this iPhone.

I Know this is an older post but I wanted to share some info. I update d my iPad 2 about a week ago and it got stuck in restore mode. I tried restoring, backing up, reiboot every suggestion Apple had, etc. to no avail my iPad was a worthless paperweight. I finally plugged my computer into a Ethernet cable and it staring updating. Mind you I have attempted to update and restore this thing about a hundred times in the last week. Hopefully this helps others as Apple has decided not to share this info with any of its user, nice.
