Q: How to get contact details from iPhone over to Macbook/iMac

Hi there,

 

When I'm adding new contacts onto my iPhone, it doesn't seem to be updating on my Macbook and iMac messaging app, I've tried a few different suggestions just can't seem to find any.

 

When it updates on the Macbook/iMac it comes with the message thread and the number but not with the updated contact details with obviously the persons name which I want to happen.

 

Does anyone have any idea of how or if I can do such thing?

    Are you using iCloud to sync Contacts?

     

    Try going to iCloud.com to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/iCloud and do the above. You can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.

    Got it sorted thanks for your reply Eric!

     

    New contact I was adding in was going into another category and not my iCloud, hence the reason why it wasn't showing up!
