Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post, I understand that your iPhone 6 Plus is switching cellular networks on its own. I know getting charges from another cellular network can be quite surprising. In a situation like this I recommend turning off the Data Roaming feature. This will prevent your iPhone from switching to another network.Tap Settings > Cellular Cellular Data Options > Data Roaming, then slide the switch to off.
