Jul 21, 2016 4:02 PM in response to Heaquee00by Malignance,As far as I know the Apple Pencil only charges via the iPad Pro. If you bought a third party cable that claims to charge the pencil it's likely not licensed by Apple and suggest you don't attempt to use the cable for your device.

Jul 21, 2016 4:12 PM in response to Malignanceby Heaquee00,I only use cables I purchased through Apple or that came with my apple products. I've tried different cords, even the one that came with my ipad pro 9.7 and the pencil only charges when attached to the pro lightening adapter port.

Jul 21, 2016 4:14 PM in response to Heaquee00by Malignance,That's how it charges. That's how it works. There is no cable for it. Just the iPad.

Jul 21, 2016 4:29 PM in response to Malignanceby Heaquee00,I Must be missing something then, because even on the apple website it says you can use the adapter the pencil came with to charge the pencil with the usb cord. It just won't charge as fast. I mean I'm ok with connecting it to the lightening USB port on the iPad cuz it does charge fast, but I just like the option of using a cable if needed and wanted to make sure it works that way, since it says it is suppose to. Thanks for your time.

Can you post a link to Apple's site to show this as I'm unable to find what you are referring too?
