Q: Printer not recognized even with USB

My Macbook Pro had no problems for the first few months printing from my EPSON printer connected with usb. Now suddenly I can not print. Any suggestions? Thank you.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
