Q: Webmail and setting up self-hosted mail server

Running 10.11.6 and Server 5.1.5

Does the mail server have webmail built-in?
If yes, how is it configured/enabled?
If no, can webmail be installed?

I'm using a combination of Cloudflare DNS and port forwarding on my firewall (edgerouter) for my self-hosted websites (wordpress and plex) The sites are working great and load very fast across the web.

At-present for mail, I can login to the email server local, but can't login or send externally with IMAP and SMTP forwarded to the mailserver IP.

    Webmail is not built in.

The guys at Topicdesk.com have put together a Roundcube installer that you can get here: https://topicdesk.com/downloads/

To clarify your setup: do you have your domain's MX record pointed to your public IP address that you are port forwarding from?

Do you have all of the mail ports for both IMAP and SMTP forwarded?

Because I cannot tell what you have done for sure, starting at the beginning: do your users have mail access and mail addresses set up in Server.app?
