Q: Color Correction in Final Cut Pro

Hello! I recently started creating YouTube videos on Final Cut Pro. I have a Canon 70D, so needless to say my video quality is pretty good. However, I want to take the quality to the next level. I have been watching a YouTuber's video who has the same camera as me, yet her video saturation and brightness is a million times better. Here is a link to a video of hers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsHZ7K0zNTE My question is, how do I achieve the same video look as hers? I also know that the color corrections in Final Cut Pro are limited, so Im assuming I will have to purchase a plug in. Thanks so much for your help!

Depending on your starting point you should be able to do that without any trouble. Push up the saturation a lot. The kids are pushed up quite a bit for a high key look, too much for my taste, pushes out all the detail in the face. Look at a couple of tutorials on using the color board.

TThe camera just shoots pictures. The editor just puts your pictures where you want them. The quality of your production is a result of your skills as a photographer, your ability to capture useful audio, a good, script, and actors.

All the Effects and color correction you need are all available in FCPX but youshould know how to use the scopes so your color manipulation is accurate and appropriate. Try to enjoy learning how to use your new tools and give yourself some time to figure it all out.
