For the last 6 months or so my Mac Pro has had issues with abrupt shut-downs, sometimes randomly while I'm working on the device, or soon or even immediately after waking up from sleep mode. Usually resetting the SMC solves the issue, sometimes for weeks, but sometimes it lasts annoyingly for days on end, even when repeatedly resetting the SMC. Is there any patch that can be downloaded to fix, or a component that can be replaced?
