Make sure all your images are imported to Photos on your computer at full resolution, then turn iCloud Photos Library OFF.

For syncing new images from your iDevices to your computer, turn My Photo Stream ON.

I'm pretty sure I did this correctly.  I have my photos on my computer.

The iphone said I have 5G available during the process, but The icloud storage in general settings has not improved and I am still getting cloud full messages.

The two manage storage areas I can see, but are not accessible to me.  Does this issue sound familiar to you?

Do you have any other devices that also use your iCloud account? You get one for each Apple ID, not one for each device, so other devices all add to the one iCloud used storage.

You can log into iCloud.com using your web browser and your Apple ID and check what you see in Photos there.

I Was on my laptop yesterday too and that is where I saw that 5 G was available.  I'll go back into the laptop and iCloud and see what I can see.   Barb
