The same way you activate it anywhere else. If you're having a problem, you need to explain what's wrong.

    Hi KiltedTim;

    Thanks for your response.

The problem is that the SIM (which is OK, I've checked with the mobile carrier) is not activating.

It appears a "invalid SIM" message...

When I've bought it in Orlando (4 days ago), I asked for an unblocked device.

The device is also OK, because I can use it in WIFI...

    The model is MLMJ2LL/A.

    Can you help me?

If you're getting an Invalid SIM message, then the phone you have is not unlocked.

Where, exactly, did you buy it? Unlocked iPhones are only available directly from Apple in the US. If you purchased it at Best Buy or another retailer, you did not purchase an unlocked phone. The only exception to this is phones sold for use on Verizon (which can not be purchased without purchasing service from Verizon at the same time except directly from Apple).

Edit to add additional information? That model number corresponds to the iPhone SE sold for use on Sprint in the US. That phone is not unlocked. Only Sprint can authorize unlocking it.

I bought it directly in Florida Mall Apple Store.

The sales representative knew I would bring it to use in Brazil, we have even spoken in Portuguese!

He checked the mobile carrier I use here in Brazil (TIM) and said that it would work properly.

How can I ask Sprint to unlock it?

Should I call Apple support or the store where I've bought it?

I cannot stay without service for so many days!!

    Thank you for your help!!

If the iPhone is locked to Sprint, only Sprint can unlock it.

You will have to contact Sprint to see if they offer unlocking

    and if you qualify.
