Jul 25, 2016 9:36 AM in response to Luis Sequeira1by drdre74,It works if I'm watching a video say on youtube and i click the airplay video option in the youtube player but as far as showing my whole screen like it should do it doesn't do that. I like to watch TNT sometimes and they don't have a Apple TV app yet.So i wanted to mirror my monitor. The airplay sound comes out the TV just no picture when i use the airplay button in the top menu.

Jul 25, 2016 9:43 AM in response to drdre74by Luis Sequeira1,I wonder if this is caused by the screen resolution of your iMac being too high for the Apple TV to handle.
I don't have an Apple TV, so I can't test this directly, but I have successfully mirrored my rMBP display to my iMac (which is running an application called AirServer, so it can be used as an Airplay target).
Does switching between mirroring or using the Apple TV as a separate display make any difference?

Jul 25, 2016 10:02 AM in response to Luis Sequeira1by drdre74,yeah doesn't seem to work. quick time will mirror just great just checked that. I forgot I have airparriot from a older mac and that works fine so that maybe my only option. Just figured since this is a new mac not even a year old that airplay would work like advertised.
