Jul 25, 2016 12:09 PM in response to vinrocksby LarryHN,There is a major conceptual difference between using a file manager like you did on windows (the finder is the standard file manager on a Mac) and using a database Photo Manager like Photos - you really need to get your mind around that difference - this article will help with maintaining your structure - Import Folders of Image Files into Library as Albums
Basically with Photos you never see or touch the files - everything is done with the database using folders and albums which are logical views of the library (a photo can be in any number of albums with no duplicates or increase in storage usage)

Jul 25, 2016 12:12 PM in response to vinrocksby léonie,Photos for Mac is storing the images you import to Photos in its own structure inside the Photos library. You access the photos using the Photos application, not using the Finder.
