Q: Help with using MBP/El Capitan/Airplay?

B4 I $ Apple Support, is there anyone who can help w/this Airplay prob?

I have read and tried all Apple How to's..., I have read El Capitan woes and links regarding Airplay.

I have tried restarting w/o firewall, re-insalling iTunes, eliminating any Startup Apps, and still have no Airplay icon and unable to turn on Airplay in Settings>Displays. Airplay works great w/iPh and iPad. All editions of ATV-3, El Capitan on MBP and iTunes are current. Thank you for any other suggestions. (OS X prevents deleting Duet related files in Library)

Try running the combo update. It installs all previous updates plus the new one, which can replace any files that may have become corrupted.

10.11.6 combo update

Although it didn't help with Airplay icon appearing, I greatly appreciate the response. Still searching for resolution.

Prob solved by connecting to a 5G Wifi.
