Q: iPhone 6 SE - Audio (Snap In adapter) only via phone´s own speaker

I have an iPhone 6 SE 64GB iOS 9.3.3

BMW with a Snap In adapter 84 21 2 289 718

If I do not use the snap in adapter I can listen to music via Bluetooh.

When placing the iPhone into the snap in adapter the car says that it will disable Bluetooth for audio when USB is connected (car claims that the device causes this).

After this the sound is not played via the car stereo anymore but out of the iPhone speaker.

If I connect the iPohne to the regular USB interface of the car, it works (but then it is not cooled via the snap in adapter etc.).

If placed in the snap in adapter, the car claims the phone is conneted via USB and it shows e.g. the CD covers on the screen, I can fast forward, skip or turn off the music all from the car´s multimedia system. Only the iPhone does not seem to recognize that sound shoudl go out through USB.

I just updated my BMW multimedia software - same results.

I tried updating the snap in adapter, but there is no USB interface on this one to update it.

Any help? Any ideas?

iPhone SE, iOS 9.3.3, 64 GB

I have the exact same issue with my iPhone 6S.  I have resorted to plugging the phone into the USB port and placing the phone in the snap-in adaptor to get the signal boost. Not ideal.  I know it it not the snap-in adapter as I tried my iPhone and adaptor in a friends M3 and all worked perfectly.  I also had no problems with an android phone in a similar snap-in in my car.

    I'll post if I find a resolution.
