Jul 26, 2016 7:54 AM in response to jrm84by Eric Root,Most likely you will need to partition the drive again and install an exact copy of what was on the Snow Leopard partition in order to access the files. Do you have a Time Machine or clone backup of the Snow Leopard partition that you could use?

Jul 26, 2016 7:59 AM in response to Eric Rootby jrm84,I made a Time Machine backup but all that's saved is the "Macintosh HD" which I can access some things but the sparsebundle contains all the stuff like the items on desktop and Logic projects. Why do I have to mount sparsebundle in order to access my Music folder? What kind of "backup" is this?

Jul 26, 2016 8:06 AM in response to jrm84by Eric Root,Which partition was the music folder located on? Is the sparse bundle the Time Machine backup? If so, why not access the data using the Time Machine application? You can restore the desired files to your Mavericks partition.

Jul 26, 2016 8:43 AM in response to Eric Rootby jrm84,The music folder was on the Snow Leopard partition. I used to mount the sparsebundle when I was running Mavericks in order to access that folder and the files that I had on the desktop on Snow Leopard. Maybe there's another way to access the files I don't know about? The sparsebundle was included in the Time Machine backup but when I try to mount it I get the error. Do you mean another method when you say use the Time Machine "application"?
