Q: I bought a GT08 smart watch and question is why does Apple make it so hard to connect anything using Bluetooth?

GT08 smart watch wont connect using any of the apps in the App Store. Why is that? I'm using a 4s.

iPhone 4, iOS 7.1

And why does Apple make things so hard to connect Bluetooth devices. And again I bought this watch but none of the bt notifier apps work. I'm just trying to get my sms to come through the watch.

    Bluetooth is not Bluetooth.

See the Apple supported Bluetooth supported profiles:

The apps developed were not developed by Apple, you should contact the developer responsible for the apps. The App store is a repository for developers to sell their wares, and Apple reserves the right to remove an app if it fails to provide the expectations the developer clams it would, but these people don't work for Apple and Apple does not support anything outside of Apple Computer.

Apple BT appears to work very well for Apple products, but I have little experience with non apple devices through BT.

Well, there are 2 manufacturers involved, so maybe it's the other guy.

Looks to me like the watch only has Bluetooth 3.

So, your issues may be compatibility. Bluetooth *should* be backwards compatible, but in looking at the documentation for this watch, it's hard to say how close to true specs the watch is. It appears they may have spent more effort making it look like an Apple watch then perhaps performing like one.

Do those apps support Blutooth Ver 3.0? (sic)
