Q: FCPX blur not installed?

A couple months back, I edited this show and used a blur effect. I've reopened that show (on the same system, only that I've likely installed new plugins, but haven't taken anything out) and it's telling me that I am missing a plugin named "blur." I can't remember which one exactly. I don't know if it's a third party plugin or if it's just the standard FCPX one. Does anyone know how I can track this down? The only thing I can think of is that Red Giant Universe had an update, and the plugins have new names... but I thought they kept all the old "legacy" plugins.

You should see the standard selection of FCPX native blurs in the blur section of the filters. Highly unlikely the regular package is not properly installed but I suppose it's possible. Far more likely is you have failed to properly update some third party packages. How you would track them down is a bit of a mystery. FxFactory puts their plugs in one place, CoreMelt in another, one-offs can go wherever Apple has said they can be squeezed in.
