Jul 27, 2016 8:41 AMby elcpu,Water is very detrimental to iPhones. The phone will likely have to be replaced as internal corrosion will set in. No harm in trying the rice trick (leave it a week) as you may be able to recover some data like photos - at this point from what you described I would not hold my breath, sorry. Good luck.

Unless you have previously purchased AppleCare+, your iPhone will not qualify for replacement by Apple under warranty / service plan.
However, it may be eligible for replacement at a reduced cost (vs retail price) via Apple's out-of-warranty repair service.
