Q: iOS iPhoto file info (meta data)

HI,

Is there any way to view a photo/video info ( file size, location shoot etc ) contained inside iOS iPhoto app. I can remember seeing it in the macOS Aperture app....

iPhoto iOS , iOS 9.3.3

No, sorry.  The Photos.app on iOS devices does not display many meta data.  It will just show the date and the location,   iPhoto on iOS 7 used to be able to show the filename, size, but since the upgrade to iOS 8 and newer it is no longer possible. Perhaps third-party apps can show this, but I have not yet found any.

I use an app called "Organizer". It allows me to see all the meta data, but I can also change the geo tag and date&time of a picture or movie, which is very practical. It is quite simple, but does the job and I never had any bad experience with it. It does not mess with the image itself, it just touches the meta data.

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your helpful advice.

Don't know why Apple have not built in a info viewer in iPhoto itself

It is the developers community's gain, until Apple introduce it and rebadge it as a all new feature.

    Thanks

    Bharat
