Q: iPhoto and Fotos / free some space on my mac

On my disc drive I have 25,1 GB iPhoto library and 12,5 GB Fotos Library. I have deleted the Iphoto application. Can I delete the iPhoto Library? - I use iCloud -

I have a MacBook Air with a capacity of 120,1 GB. Only 2,69 is available. 71,34 GB is used for "Other" 33,32 for Fotos, 8,64 for Programs, 2,16 for Sound, 1,94 GB for Film and 9,5 MB for security copies.

I looks like that I have aprox 50 GB "Other" stuff which I have no idea of what is. How can I free used space?

Best

Adam, is your Fotos Library a migrated iPhoto Library?  Have you checked, if all your iPhoto fotos are now in Photos?  The size difference is very large. Or have you enabled "Optimize Mac Storage"?

But there is no help. If you only have 2,69 GB free, you need to free storage asap.

Copy your iPhoto Library to an external drive to keep a backup copy, just in case you need to restore photos. Then delete the iPhoto Library from the internal drive and empty the Trash.

The "Other" can be many things .  Check out this list:   OS X: What is "other" space in About This Mac? - Apple Support
