That does not seem to be a magic mouse problem.  More like a need to check for adware or malware.  Download this check, etrecheck, and publish the report here.

Found five adwares and deleted.  I believe this has helped me, but it won't take long to find out.  Thank you for your help.  Do you want to see a copy of the report?

It would be a good idea.   See what you can remove then check again and publish the report.

There is nothing in what the report will show that is a threat to your privacy or security.  People do this every day in one part of the forums or another.    Why not write first to the Etresoft people themselves if you are not satisfied with what the site itself shows you.

Tell me how to send it.  I see share report and some actions there.  I now have discovered that the pop up I was getting when I left clicked my mouse is the same pop up that I would get if I right clicked my mouse.  All the time I would only left click it, and it would come up, click again, it would go away, and continue many times.  Frustrating.  I am not a pro so you will have to lead me....(but I follow instructions very well.)  The problem still happens.  Maybe I need a new mouse.  This one has hit the floor many times when I fall asleep at the computer.  Thanks for your help.

Damage caused by falling on the floor would not result in pop ups.  Could you take it to an Apple store?    To send that report you need to copy and paste it into a reply to this mail.

Thank you.   Your machine looks in good condition.

You need to remove MacPaw Clean my Mac.   Bad, Bad app.   You don't need any anti-virus with the possible exception of Malwarebytes.  which might help rid you of MacPaw.   See if the manufacturer has suitable instructions to remove the MacPaw app.

You need to update your flash player. If it is Adobe that may remove the red ink from the Adobe elements a few lines above.   I've asked a friend for a second opinion and he may post if he is available.

Iomega has not been a successful disc for me and it looks like this one is too small for the backups it is needed for.   What model is it.

Anyway, as I said, the machine appears to be in pretty good order except for what I've mentioned.

I have some additional comments to the post of Seventy One:

    a. when you are having issues or are cleaning up your mac do the following:

in SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems remove all entries with the minus sign underneath, then restart:

this removes all these apps to run, they may be part of the issue.

    b. don't start anything, but start cleaning, but never use any app that cleans, boosts, speeds, ... or any security enhancer, antivirus...

    in your case:

    1. I suppose you have already uninstalled CleanMyMac, this is the worst crap software available. A complete uninstall should remove com.pcv.hlpamcplist too, I think.

and you have updated Flashplayer already.

    2. I agree with the 71's remark about iomega disk: it is probably an old one too: your backups are the most important things in the world when you have a crash: give them the best disk that you can find. At the moment WD Elements is considered one of the best of portable disks, buy one that is large enough and use that (60-70$ for a 1TB disk).

    3. I would uninstall the Samsung software, if possible, it is not 100% compatible, you probably don't need it.

    4. Uninstall the Android File Transfer Agent, no good at all, if that does not take care of fuspredownloader, uninstall that also.

    5. Uninstall Sophos, does not do anything for you but slowing down the system.

    6. Uninstall Trendmicro software, no good.

    7. Safari->Preferences->Extensions: delete the AppaRajah extension, reported to be adware,

same for Dashlane, you do not need it even if you have an account there.

    Restart after all this.

    Now for some cleaning:

    MacintoshHD->Library->InternetPlug-ins:

-- delete the two  AdobePDFviewer plugins: even if you use Adobe PDF Viewer, these plugins are not as good as the plugins already in the system

-- I don't know about the Navin plugin, but that's why I suggest you delete that one too....

-- if you do not use the Garmin anymore you can delete that plugin too.

Well this looks like a lot, but in general except for 1, 5 and 6, it is not bad altogether.

    Have fun,

    Lex

Thanks for joining in, Lex.   You found rather more than I did.   But one thing for sure, those pop ups came as a result of the clean my Mac app.

    Have a good weekend,

yes, the main issue cause is/was CMM.

The rest is mainly there as part of an earlier OSX, I guess.

Trendmicro and Sophos are to be uninstalled, important, but not the cause of pop ups.

The only two things I included is Safari plugins...

Have a nice day, my friend
