Q: cover flow

My default browser is Safari v5.1.8

History always opened without cover flow

Now it is impossible to get rid of cover flow

I don't know why history all of a sudden started this way

I need to get rid of it, I need history not to have cover flow

All help shall be welcome

By the way... I'm sure you are aware but just in case Apple has not provided security updates for outdated OS X's including Safari for years.

If your iMac is a 2011 as noted in your profile, it may meet the requirements to upgrade to El Capitan > Upgrade to OS X El Capitan - Apple Support

El Capitan requires a minimum of 2GB's of RAM and about 9GB's of disk space.

Upgrading to El Capitan will install the latest version of Safari 9.1.2.

El Capitan also includes more security > Safari's cover flow/bookmarks feature
