Q: Why is iMessage asking for password of old Apple ID
I have an iPhone 6 and just did the latest update, IOS 9.3.3. Since that time, I've had trouble with iMessage. i tried to send some pictures to someone a little bit ago and it said it wouldn't send without me turning on iMessage. It was already on, but I went to confirm anyway. It was on. I turned it off and back on again, and then I got a pop up box that said I needed to update my Apple ID password. But it was my old Apple ID that I haven't used in over a year. Suggestions?

Follow the four steps under "Turn off and restart iMessage and FaceTime" here:
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support
But first, make sure you are using the correct Apple ID at:
- Settings > iCloud
- Settings > iTunes & App Store
