Sep 10, 2015 4:39 AM in response to Geoffery Deanby C.R. Jimenez,I have the same problem, but I refuse to restore my iPod 60GB, because works well, I made all the checks and everything was perfect.
I had the same problem synchronizing my iPod to my MacBook Pro. Therefore, I made three basic changes and everything works perfectly.
May be this will help you:
1. Reset the ipod. (Obviously)
2. Use the USB, which is nearer the Power Supply.
3. And believed or not, I change my cable to the original Apple Cable. May be it sounds crazy, but the original Apple Cable is shorter than many generic cables, and obviously the cable shield is design for Apple purposes. Those long cables are great if the use will be referred only to the charge of the device (Low frequency), but I'm not sure if the long cable avoids the considerations due high frequency data transfers. With my long generic cable, my iPod sync disconnects always in the middle of the transfer and the next time I sync, iTunes shows the legend of restore it.
