Q: Sync calendar with outlook

I sync my iPhone calendar with Outlook, but since upgrading iTunes to 12.4.2.4 it no longer works - in info screen there is message that Outlook must be installed (which it is, and has been!)

Have tried resetting sync history but still same error

Anyone else had this - and any ideas how to resolve

(and yes, I have carried out a restart on my iPhone!)

Eventually got it sorted, I'd tried uninstalling & reintalling iTunes then repairing Outlook without success. Found link

Followed first suggestions, the one that actually worked was renaming the Syncservices folder Interesting that the page was published on 24th July - maybe others had the same problem after 12.4.2.4 (oops, mustn't say that as I might get reported and banned for violation T&C by posting supposition....)

Hopefully this might help anyone else struggling

Hi old_chap, are you the same old_chap from the iOS 8 Wi-Fi thread? If so this is old elcpu, remember me? A lot of water under the bridge since. Hope you are doing well.

Thanks for suggestion, but problem is in iTunes - I cannot select the calendars as I see message "Microsoft Outlook must be installed to sync calendars"

Everything worked fine until iTunes updated - so I'm going to try uninstalling the reinstalling iTunes.

Not a major problem (unlike the Wi-Fi) but really annoying as I do lots of calendar updates when working on Outlook (meeting invites etc) so need them to sync so I can view on phone. Also make meeting notes on phone & want them to go to my main Outlook calendar

Shame like so many things Apple cause problems when 'improving' things

IMO iOS has gotten very complicated. It does so many things that it is difficult to keep all straight.
Might want to post in the iTunes Forum if installing/reinstalling does not help. Good luck.

Glad to hear. There is a new iTunes now, 12.4.3 that fixes some issues, maybe yours. And no I don't think you will get reported...
