Q: How to view CC in MPEG2 file (from Compressor)

I have added a .scc subtitles file to an MPEG2 file via Compressor 4.

How can I preview the outputted file to ensure it has worked correctly?  Someone suggested VLC player, but it doesn't appear to be showing the subtitles (unless the embedding of the file didn't work, of course ;-)

Thanks for your help,

Geoff

Any media player that supports closed captioning should work.  QuickTime Player, either 7 or X will do that.

I used Compressor to marry the .scc file to the MPEG2, but the outputted file doesn't show the captions.  Quicktime Player 10.4, VLC... both indicate there is "no subtitle" available when trying to select the option to view it.

I'm not sure what to do to make this work.  Any ideas?

    thanks,
