Q: iPhone Wi-Fi sharing
Is it possible to share the Wi-Fi connection (not cellular) of an iPhone 6S Plus (iOS 9.3.3) to a MacBookPro (Retina, Mid 2012, i7, 16GB) via USB ?
For some reason, I need the MacBook to connect to two different wi-fi hotspots (LAN1 and LAN2) at the same time. As the Mac has only one wifi network card I think I can connect it to LAN1, then the iPhone to LAN2 and share the latter to the Mac.
I've worked with linux/unix/x boxes having several network cards before, so I'm familiar with routing tables and stuff like that. So, once connected to LAN1 and LAN2, further configuration won't be an issue.
Thanks in advance.
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

As far as I know it's only possible to share the cellular connection.
The official support document also implies this:
Share your Internet connection with Personal Hotspot - Apple Support
