Q: How much computer power for FCPX

My MacBook Pro is 4 years old and the graphic card just failed.  Wondering if now is a good time to replace it with a new computer.  Dont want to spend 4K + on a MacPro if IMac will do the job.  I shoot Multicam and just started Motion 5.  4K is not my that important to me as my cameras are not.  All my footage is off line on G drives. Any suggestions would be helpful.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.5), Footage Shot on Sony HDR- AX 2000

If you're not going to work with UHD media, and you don't need to meet tight deadlines, just about any current (or recent) Mac will work great. The iMac is a terrific choice – especially if you decide to work with UHD in the future.
