Q: my screen is black with some horizontal and vertical lines

my dog got a hold of the MacBook that was on my bed and dropped it on the floor, it landed on the upper right corner of the screen. it broke the screen on the upper right corner and when I tried to turn it on the screen did not come on, it is dark wit some very thin horizontal and vertical white lines. screen does not come on. I actually can see thin hair lines on other parts of the screen it looks like the screen is broken in other places but I do not feel anything on the screen that tells me it is broken like it is on the upper corner.

I'm a bit disappointed on the light quality of this MacBook, I did not expect it would not work with a fall from the bed.

It is me or there is more people out there with the same problem and also unhappy with the disposable quality of a $1500 MacBook.

Any idea how much it would cost to repair it?

The closest repair center is 1.5 hours away and I can not send it in for repairs.

I honestly can say that this whole thing socks.

Please if you have any comments about my issue share them with me. It probably will help me to not feel that bad about this issue I'm having.

Thank's

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

well, nothing is unbreakable. it depends on how hard surface and in which position it fell. you were not lucky because the top screen corners are the most sensitive parts of every laptop. it's aluminium = flexible > ruins the glass and LCD when there's too much pressure ...

you can have lightweight or unbreakable product, not both
