Q: fatal-error-detected.xyz in safari
My child was searching in google when fatal-error-detected.xyz popped up. Options only are: stay on page or leave page, the latter of which causes another window to open. Each gives error code=16031991 MAC WARNING.
What do I do? Seems like a virus.

1. Click in the menu bar and choose “Force Quit”.
In the window that opens up, select “Safari” and click “Force Quit.
2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.
The pop-up that crashed Safari will not return.
