Q: When an Apple Watch appears dead
I was given an Apple Watch for my birthday in May 2016. It has worked beautifully since then - until this evening.
I went to check the time a few minutes ago, but the Watch seems to be completely dead.
I've been charging it overnight each day - it is generally at about 65% when I go to bed. There's been no sign of battery problems.
None of the controls on the Watch, nor the display, has any effect. I have put the Watch on the charger, but nothing happens, other than the charger getting quite warm.
Before I return the Watch, is there anything I'm not doing that I can try?

Hi
Try force restarting your watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the logo.
If that does not help, next try charging your watch for around 2.5 hours, making sure that you follow the charging instructions here:
After that time, if it has not already restarted automatically, remove it from the charger and:
- Try restarting it (by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Apple logo).
- If necessary, next try force restarting it again.
