Q: iPhone 6s: Health stopped collecting steps, distance etc. How to fix?

Today my iPhone 6s suddenly stopped collecting steps, distance or flights climbed. Nothing I've tried has succeeded in correcting this, including the How to use Health post (though it is very useful.)

CAn someone suggest some next steps?

    Try these standard troubleshooting steps.

Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

If this doesn't help, you might need to Restore your iPhone.

If your backup is to iTunes, make sure it's an encrypted backup.

Thank you Rysz, this solved the problem.

I'll note, though, that "reboot and see" feels like a Microsoft troubleshooting technique, that a real OS like IOS shouldn't have to stoop to . But that's a grumble for Apple, not you.

i Appreciate the quick response. Thanks again
