Q: How do I stop the Apple Watch from automatically completing my outdoor cycle workout when I hit pause (with the intent of resuming)?
When I use the outdoor cycling activity in Apple Watch and I stop to use the toilets or get a coffee and pause the ride, a moment later it will (without any input from me) complete the activity. This is very frustrating as I am currently trying to get a new badge for most cals burned on the cycling workout but obviously cannot if I try to pause the ride at any point. Has anyone else encountered this?

Lock your Apple Watch while you work out
You can lock your Apple Watch screen, so nothing can accidentally tap the screen, change your metrics, or end your workout. Just firmly press the display and tap Lock.
When you want to end your workout or make changes, firmly press the display again and tap Unlock.
