If you've got it solved, that's great. But I just upgraded to El Cap and added Magic Mouse 2 and it's buggy as ****... moving the mouse makes it 'smart zoom' while tapping twice with one finger will zoom but sometimes not unzoom; scrolling without moving the mouse will sometimes zoom, sometimes not. I've disabled everything but the  scroll function, gone in and double checked the settings in Accessibility, but nothing works. Ran etrecheck but  no ad/malware found. Other than drive another 60 miles roundtrip to the Apple Store to return it, any suggestions?

    Hello FHBrian,

As this is marked solved but it doesn't meet you exact problem, could I suggest you re-write the post and begin a new thread.

It may seem pernickerty but answers can get confused when different problems are dealt with within the same thread.

Can you already report how things are going now: are your issues solved?

    Thank you 71 and Lixiepex,

I am a little slow in getting things done on my computer.  My mind was Windows trained from back having to use dos commands to when I purchased this iMac, which was my first one.  Home trained, and learn thru experiences.  While my body seems to be 125 years old, my brain is only 85.  Don't mean that as an excuse.  It is just how I am.  My Imoga back-up drive is 1 TB with unused space and I don't use it very often because it is not balanced very well which makes it vibrate and noisy.

I believe MacPaw is gone, but on my Mac I am never sure.  I have downloaded several programs that were supposed to uninstall but files remain.  I uninstalled dash lane, but it is still there.

    Hello Maurice,

Age is no bar here.   I shall be 80 next month.   Hooray.

There are two very useful downloads in the App Store.    One is called Easy Find (and that one is free) and the other is Find any File and that costs about $5 in the USA.   Both of these would be excellent additions to your apps.   They would certainly root out any latent bits of the MacPaw and any others like Dashlane.

    Good luck.

Do I really need both of them?  Seems redundant.  I downloaded free easy find and it found 6 or 7 macaw files which I trashed and will dump in a few minutes.  If find any file will do more, I will download.  Thanks!

You may do in time.   Both are worth having although they don't support each other.   But you've found seven more files so it proves the point.

Downloaded Find any file and it found 12 more macpaw files.

MacPaw is evil.   But some of those files may have been innocent self promotion files.

Was not thinking....7 was in trash as it was not dumped before I ran the program.  I have one file I cannot remove and cannot reveal in finder.  It is  com.macpaw.cleanmymac2.agent.socket  (kind) document that I modified 7/28/16  File size 0

    Easyfind can search inside files.

FindAnyFile finds any file everywhere, hold the Alt/option key when you click the Find button and it goes as deep as you can.

    Very good apps to have.

"one file I cannot remove and cannot reveal in finder"

Restart the mac and run FAF again. If it still there, and you can still not remove it, don't worry: size 0 can not do much harm.

In FAF you should always select "move to trash" instead of "delete immediately".
