Jul 15, 2016 1:11 AM in response to calabiyau007by calabiyau007,Hi again! Relative good news!
A workmate told me some weeks ago that his iphone 6s had no camera lag. Apparently he had never suffered this problem. So it could be considered one of those lucky clean iphones.
As I've found a pattern to create this lag, we have just put our 6s side by side:
1) Open camera app on both mobiles. No lag in any of them.
2) Try the sequence explained in the previous posts: Dial-call 10 seconds-hang. Repetead 10 times.
3) Open camera app again.
And the result is.... BOTH IPHONES HAVE HAD A 5 SECONDS LAG!!!
Please note that he swore that his iphone 6s has never shown this lag.
From my point of view this confirms that all iphone are equal. No faulty or messy ones. All suffer from this problem (at least 6s and ios9). The difference is that some guys notice it and some others not depending on their usage.
Well now it's time that apple fix this problem

Jul 30, 2016 2:06 AM in response to pjosborneby Willo26,Dear all,
After 5 escalations i have diagnosed what cause the delay. It is the iCloud account. Only try to close session and camera lag disappear. Now i am creating a new ICloud account. Maybe i have a corrupted file in iCloud drive, or a photo or whatever...
But 3 days after testing the iPhone everytime camera works perfect now.
Please check your devices and leave a feedback.
Thank you.
Regards.

Jul 30, 2016 2:33 AM in response to Willo26by calabiyau007,Hi Willo26
iCloud was another suspect! Good news...
Anyway in this scenario, could you please check if making some consecutive calls can cause also delay?
Before disabling iCloud which is a mess for my photo management, I'd really appreciate if you can confirm than calls are no longer guilty.
Thanks!

Hello,I am in same situation as you. Imagine ICloud photos with 30 Gb, Apple Music with family sharing, notes.... all in 5 devices. I am totally tie to Apple's ecosystem. But with my IPhone 6s with a new ICloud account I am going to work harder to see if camera lags appear again.
I am telling you my experience....

Aug 1, 2016 12:29 PM in response to Willo26by Willo26,Dear all,
I use the phone for work and i usually do 30-40 calls per day. The result is great, with a new iCloud account there is no lag after 3 days... But now i am going to upload and enable Photo iCloud....

Aug 1, 2016 1:52 PM in response to Willo26by apple-a-day-doc-away,Hi
i don't use icloud for photos. icloud drive not in use either. I use the regular icloud for mail, contacts, calender.
camera lag after phone calls made, as mentioned in previous posts. Backups stored in itunes
Though very interested in your experiment with the new icloud account. Did you import all your contacts including contact photos in your new account ?
Make about 10-15 phone calls per day

Aug 2, 2016 12:05 AM in response to serdarkocakby calabiyau007,Sorry guys. It didn't work for me!
I have signed out iCloud from my phone. Fully signed out.
Then I have forced the situation as stated in a previous post:
1) Open camera app No lag.
2) Dial-call 10 seconds-hang. Repetead 10 times.
3) Open camera app again.
And then, again a 6 seconds lag!!!!
Just in case, I reboot the phone, then I have repeated those steps with the same unsatisfactory result!
Looking forward to hearing from your reports...
Regards
PS: Still on 9.3.2 but I can hardly believe it is related...

Aug 2, 2016 8:26 AM in response to Willo26by gussein,I disabled iCloud Photo Library and has worked, no lag.
But if you make calls, the lag comes back. I don't see the relation but if you don't use the phone for making calls the camera opens without any lagging, just receive or make calls and the problem comes back. Irony, iPhone but can't us it to make calls so that the camera can work correctly. I don't now why Apple has not make something about this. Very annoying problem. We need a solution!!!

Aug 2, 2016 11:23 AM in response to pjosborneby Willo26,After enable iCloud photo library with new iCloud account and after receiving or doing some calls you can see 2-3 second lags... It not too much but the problem persist. I am going to checking closer this 1-2 days more.
Please someone has at home a iPhone 5,5s or 6 (now I don't have any at home) to check if after doing some calls these device show the same problem.
Tomorrow i will calling again to explain all these experiments. Now i have request escalated to 2nd level...

Aug 2, 2016 2:39 PM in response to Willo26by gussein,I had an iPhone SE and had the same lag problem.
My wife has a iPhone 5, and there's no lag. I've seen a lag, but once in six months, very rare.
Maybe it's a problem of the new 12mpx camera, or the LIVE feature....

Aug 2, 2016 11:30 PM in response to Willo26by calabiyau007,Oh. I was hoping a fix even if it was not apple's intention in ios 10. Being a major ios change.
Dissappointing.
