Unlock the iPad how ? And why are you trying to send an email to that account, it's not Apple.

If it's on the activation screen type in the id and password of the account that you were using in Settings > iCloud on the iPad

If you can't remember your id try : If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support

If you bought the iPad used and it's locked to the previous owner's account contact the person that you bought it from, nobody else can help (including Apple)

so the main issue is that you cannot send email to that Gmail contact, from your account?

If you receive a Mailer Daemon message with the error, please add it to this discussion. BTW, this means that your iPad is working, so the problem concerns the account you are using or the recipient's account ("helpicloud3gmail.com"... did you add a @ before gmail.com?).

Try sending the message using your email account web interface, and then let us know.
