    You haven't told us what version of Macbook pro you have or what OS it is running.   You should put these details in your Profile page; it would help us no end.    If you are running El Capitan you will have to check with the manufacturer whether your mouse has the correct drivers.    ElCapitan has special features and not many mice are accepted by it.   In a perfect world you want Magic Mouse version 2.
