Q: mac copies all photos BACK to my iPhone under PICTURES from My Mac. how do i delete them

When I sync my iPhone to my Mac, the photos previously copied from the Iphone (and deleted) were re-copied back to my Iphone. How can I stop this and delete all the photos from My Mac

    Hello there, daosam!

     

    Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are wanting to delete photos from your Mac and stop photos from syncing to your iPhone through iTunes. I know how important it is to only sync the information you are wanting to the iPhone. 

     

    Check out this article that talks about Photos for OS X: Delete photos and video, The article will give you steps to delete photos from your computer. Once you've deleted them, when you have the iPhone plugged in for the sync, just be sure you uncheck the option in iTunes to sync photos. Go to the Summary for the iPhone and to the Photos tab, then uncheck "Sync photos". As long as the photos are deleted from the computer and the trash is emptied, the photos should be gone and not resynced to the iPhone.
