Q: FOLLOWED THE INCOMING AND OUTGOING INSTRUCTIONS STILL NOT ABLE TO SEND MAIL OUT.

EMAIL ISSUE:

FOLLOWED iMAC SETTINGS FOR ROGERS.

 

THE INCOMING MAIL SERVER SETTINGS AND OUTGOING SERVER AS WELL. STILL UNABLE TO SEND MAIL iCloud incoming SERVER READS. Po4,map.mail.me.com and outgoing reads ROGERS(OFFLINE)

ISTHERE ANOTHER WAY TO CHANGE SETTINGS? THANK YOU ELLIE

    This is hard to read.  Please use upper & lower case.

     

    Please provide a link to the instructions.

    Please provide screen image of how you configured these settings.

    How to show us a screen image.  Avoid personal identification.


    on the Mac you do:

    command + shift + 3   Will take entire screen.  You hear a click.

    command + shift + 4 Lets you decide what to take.  Mouse pointer changes. Move mouse to upper left corner of desire image.  Hold down left mouse key where to start image.  Drag mouse to lower left of where you want to stop image.  Release mouse.

     

    You will get a picture file .png file on the desktop.

    On the forum input panel you will see the camera icon.

    click on camera icon.

     

    another window will appear.

     

    Make sure you have selected the from your computer tab.

     

    click on Browse button

     

    An open file panel appears.  Select the file.

     

    After selection a file, I have this screen showing.

    You will have to click on Insert Image.  You may have to scroll down to see Insert Image button.

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Since I use email to keep in touch with family and friends, I'd be looking for support myself. I'll be glad to help.

    Rogers Email Settings -- You mentioned using a @rogers.com email address and wanted to be sure you had the correct settings. 

    Mail Settings Lookup -- If you'e not using an @rogers.com account, use this web page to gather the information from your Email Service Provider.

    If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac  -- If you're still having trouble sending mail, you can also check out the steps on this page for more info.

    Pleased be advised. that I have an appointment shortly then leaving..THIS ISSUE on not being able to send out mail with  iMac OX S is on going for about six weeks on and off. Had my provider go thru all the preferences over and over yesterday until 9.30pm and both iCloud and Rogers were corrected and re-entered multiple times.
    There is an interference in the iMac/iCloud. It seems it is not corrected no matter how it is entered.

    I will absolutely try the your instructions when I come back on Monday August 8th.

    Much appreciate your help.

    Well, I'd try another email client.  Try thunderbird.  I use it as my primary email client.
