They are all in the Photos Library but I don't know why they aren't in Photos
What version of the OS and of Photos do you have? Explain what exactly you are actually seeing and what has changed since it worked

Aug 3, 2016 7:14 PM in response to LarryHNby Fangbosun,Hi Larry, I upgraded to El Capitan so I could update to Aperture 3.6 because my new Canon EOS 80D raw images wouldn't open in my older version of Aperture. I then decided to start using Photos (1.5), during the set up it asked me to nominate a photo library ( i have an older iPhoto library). I chose my Aperture library. All my photos are on my Mac HD in a Photos Library (400 GB......I have a lot of photos). But when I open Photos I get the Welcome to Photos page. Do I need to import the Photos Library into Photos as there are no images showing? Cheers

Aug 4, 2016 1:19 AM in response to LarryHNby Fangbosun,Dear Larry, thx again for the prompt reply. I tried that and got the message that 'The content of The "Aperture Library" has already been migrated to Photos. Open Photos to view your library or use a compatible version of Aperture to open this Aperture Library.' I selected the Open Photos button but alas there are no images in Photos!?

Aug 4, 2016 2:56 PM in response to LarryHNby Fangbosun,I managed to import a single image that wasn't in the Aperture library OK. That removed the welcome page. I deleted the image and got the welcome page back. I should mention there was an electricity blackout when the photos were migrating but as previously mentioned they seem to be in the Photos Library folder on my HD. I can still access them if I open the folder in Aperture but not in Photos?

Aug 6, 2016 7:14 PM in response to Fangbosunby LarryHN,★HelpfulYou can not access the Photos library with Aperture - assuming you have Aperture 3.6 launch it and open the old Aperture library (if it says it have been migrated tell it to go ahead anyway) and clean the Aperture library up - Notes on Migrating an Aperture Library from Aperture to Photos for Mac
then drag the "clean" Aperture library to the Photos icon in the Dock
