Q: Problem transferring songs to my ipod touch

Hi.

I have an ipod touch 64gb and I'm in the process of transferring some of my songs across from itunes. I tend to take complete albums across and there is no problem with about 95% of the albums but the odd one or two don't appear on the ipod but when you look at what's on the ipod in itunes the albums are listed as being on there.

I've deleted the albums and started the process again but it's still the same result. There is still a lot of room on the ipod and I've successfully transferred a lot of music since but I can't get the songs to show on there.

Has anyone else had this issue and is there a way round it?

Is there anything different between those two albums and the others that do sync?

You said "I've deleted the albums and started the process again but it's still the same result." Deleted what from where?

There doesn't seem to be any difference between these albums and the ones that do sync. In fact, one of the ones that doesn't sync is originally from a 2 disc cd and the other one has gone across ok.

When the ipod is connected to my computer, in itunes you can see what is (in theory) on the ipod. The songs that I'm referring to appear on this list but do not show on the ipod. I've deleted them from this list and tried to sync them again but the same thing happens.

Try deleting them from your iTunes library and reimporting them back into the library and then resync.

The following steps will usually help resolve weird syncing issues. They assume that all of the content you want on the device is in your library ready for restoring. If it isn't see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything out of the camera roll if you haven't already.

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restore as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup you made earlier.

Yes, I've tried to do that but it hasn't worked unfortunately.

I've had this problem, and I've found two different causes.  First, I apparently sometimes overwhelm the process by trying to copy too many songs at once.  When this happens, I have to quit and restart iTunes.
Also, songs rated as "explicit" always create weird problems.  Check your iPod Restrictions.

Yes I think at first I may have been trying to take a lot of songs across all at once which might have caused an issue but I've waited a couple of days and attempted to take just the one album across but the same thing happens. I'll check into the iPod restrictions but I doubt there was anything explicit on the songs in question. It's worth a try though so thanks for the reply.
