Q: iWeb links don't show up

Hi there,

My iWeb (3.0.4) links don't show up in the first page. On the other pages the links come up just fine. I have El Capitan. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your help!

Make sure that there are no shapes or images that are covering up the links.  If this is the case, then the links will not work.  If anything is overlapping with the links just a little bit, then they won't work.

I would check this, especially if the links are working on all other pages of your site.

    Thank you Ethmoid,

No shapes or images are covering the links. They are situated in same way as on other pages too. The links are actually there but you can't see them - they are invisible. If you take cursor over them (if you know where they should be) you can use them. Color settings for fonts and links are set in a same way as on the other pages too.

I Too had many problems when uploading at iWeb using El Capitan OS. My solution? I downgraded to OS Yosemite.

    Good luck hope this helps.

Look, this is a ridiculous solution - most people will not want to downgrade back to Yosemite when they have just upgraded to El Capitan - downgrading is a step back and not very sensible.

Rather than downgrading, perhaps the obvious solution is to look for a new application to create your websites with that is current and is active.  Take a look at EverWeb.

Rather than downgrading an OS X, it is time to move on and leave iWeb behind and find alternative software!!

You are correct, I just shared my solution. However maybe some people like me that loves so much iWeb, doesn't want to move from another App, even being outdated.

But iWeb, even being outdated, with buying or download free Html snippets (there are online stores) we can do everything.

Yep, that was my plan anyway, but fixing this problem would help me a lot in coming week with my business. I'll check out the ever web.

    Cheers

    Workaround solution:

If you have links on a image:

    1) take off the link

    2) "cover" the image with a "empty" text box

    3) put the link to the empty text box

The link will work and on the net page the link seems to be from the image

Do the same if you have a text box with a link (as maybe a text button)
