    Hello there, pronap!

     

    Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are wanting to record your Facetime calls. I can understand how important it is to be sure calls are recorded on the Mac properly as well. Check out this article with steps on using QuickTime Player 10.x: Record audio only. It does do it through the microphone so as long as you don't have anything plugged into the 3.5 mm jack, meaning that you need to let the sound come out of the built-in speakers. That will record both sides of the conversation.
