Q: Cannot install Mac OS X
Hello,
I really hope someone can help me
I have this macbook pro 13" early 2011. 6 months ago I upgraded it with ssd 500 Gb (samsung Evo) and 16 Gb ram (Crucial) and everything was running fine on Yosemite
Now, as I had planned before, I wanted to go for a fresh install of El Capitan because I thought the machine would benefit of that after 5 years of installing/uninstalling stuff etc.
I've made all the steps required but when I try to run the original installer of Snow Leopard from the DVD I get an error message saying OS X could not be installed on this computer. Even worse, it won't load the time Machine backup either! (some other error message I don't remember now). Also, tried with a Lion dvd installer from a friend's compuetr and no way
I tried almost everything I could: reset PRAM - recovery of the factory settings - checked the disk - replaced the two 8 Gb sticks with the original ram, but the result is always the same
Anyone has passed through that and can help? I'm a bit descouraged. I hope I could explain well enough
Thanks and sorry for my english
ciao
max
