Aug 5, 2016 3:13 PM in response to MacLoverJolietby BenB,Be sure you have the latest versions of OS X 10.11, and the latest version of FCPX. There's no issues with running that combination. There's a few things to check.
- How long is the Project you're exporting?
- Are your Libraries and media on the system drive, or an external drive?
- Do all drives have at least 15% of their total capacity, each, left as free space?
- What are the other issues?
In the mean time, try holding both the Option and Command keys at the same time while launching FCPX. When prompted, delete preference files.
Also, launch Disk Utility, and run Disk First Aid on all drives.

Sep 4, 2016 7:26 AM in response to BenBby commanderclif_me,I was getting frequent Final Cut Pro crashes two weeks ago while working on a project. I was also noticing Adobe applications crashing that week. This past week I had that FCP project completed and was working on 4 new FCP projects and not a single one crashed nor any or my Adobe applications.
My hunch is that there was something slightly a miss with something like a render file or something in that one project leading to the crashes. Keeping an eye on it but seemed like its likely connected with something in that one project that may have been the culprit.
