Apple TVWelcome to the Apple Community.
Do you have any issues playing content from your iTunes library on your Apple TV, have you tried restarting the Apple TV and the router.

Jan 26, 2014 9:30 AM in response to robertmillsby Does_apple_read_these,I have an 80 Mbps internet download connection and it took 5 hours to download a movie with standard definition from itunes with my apple tv. It took 3 minutes when I used netflix on my ps3. Where is apple supports response to these issues....there are thousands of posts of people with the same problems? Speedtest.net confirms my download speed is 80 Mbps! I have reset and restarted my apple tv and download speeds of movies are still unacceptably slow! What is the point of these discussions when Apple techs don't even read or respond to our posts?

Feb 1, 2014 5:56 PM in response to robertmillsby civilcindy,My iTunes tv episodes take forever to download too. But Netflix and Amazon prime (streamed from iPad) load quickly. And iTunes tv episodes load decently on my iPad. So methinks it's not the wireless speed or router when all else works fine. Why should this be? I'm disappointed because Apple usually makes better things, but I may have to send this back. What use is it if I can't watch apple's own programming on apple's own device? This makes no sense.

Sep 20, 2014 11:51 AM in response to civilcindyby jdstrong5,I was having a terrible time getting anything from Apple recently...you name it...iOS updates, OSX updates, movies, etc...
I wound up setting my router DNS manually to use Google's addresses of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
My connection back to Apple is blazing fast now. Instead of taking 40+ hours to update my iPad Air to iOS 8, it took less than 10 minutes. EVERYTHING coming and going to Apple is extremely fast now.

Aug 6, 2016 6:33 AM in response to robertmillsby macycseps,I have a 3rd generation apple TV connected via ethernet.
My internet speed is 60 mbps.
I have reset my router/modem/apple tv.
I am set on 1080p yet would think my internet speed via ethernet could accommodate this.
Changing my setting to standard definition did not really help.
I have also downloaded the latest apple tv update.
I think this is a problem on the server end at apple.
