    Hello Škodaman!

From your post and title, it looks like the Google Maps street view is causing the app to crash or close on its own.  I definitely would want any of apps staying open like they should.  There's a few things to try.

Check out all the steps in this article: If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support

If things are still strange after that, it could need Google support to check out their options.

If something else happens or new pops up, reply back and let us know.

    Cheers!

    Hello chris_g1,

Thank you for your reply.I have been in telephone communication with Apple support.lt was suggested that l uninstall then reinstall Google earth app ,which l did while they waited on the phone.l am still suffering from crashing ending up back at the app screen.l can't remember if l did mention that prior to that happening that a small window opens up informing of a shortage of memory.Apple support have arranged a call back tomorrow , so l will inform them of the continuing situation, and hopefully a resolution will be found.By the way my Apple technical assistance ceases on the 11/08/2016.I also have some other questions that l will raise.

How much free storage do you have? There may not be enough for Google Earth to buffer what it requires.

I had a little walk round Google Earth today and it seems to work fine. The running out of memory warning seems to be extraneous. It probably means it won't be able to quickly return to tne start of the session. I was able to continue long past it with no problem. I'm using iPad Air with 9.3.4. So your problem is somehow specific to your system. A while ago I did have trouble with street view in my neighborhood, but it just resulted in some funky images, never dropped back to the home screen. You should maybe try it in an urban area, where the data will be more complete. If it works there, then the problem may just be with the data you're accessing.

DIana, my broadband connection isn't the best, seeing only up to around 1mb ,with my internet radio often dropping its connection ,when some demanding programme is running. When l get a chance l will try using another connection to test out your suggestion.Thanks.
